Day 1 (Sweetwaters Serena Camp, Ol-Pejeta Conservancy)

On your first day in Nairobi, you will meet your friendly tour guide, who will be with you throughout your whole safari. You will be picked up from your hotel (if you arrived a day earlier and spent the night in Nairobi) or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You will then cover a short three-hour drive from Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where you will check in at Sweetwaters Serena Camp and enjoy a warm lunch, enjoying the mountain view of Mount Kenya, before embarking for an afternoon game drive. During the drive, you might be able to see the majority of the animals, like the lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more. After the thrill of the game drive, you will visit the enclosure of the last remaining two northern white rhinos and learn more about the global conservation efforts put in place. Later on after you have had some rest, indulge yourselves in a night game drive where you might be able to spot the nocturnal animals like the hyenas and leopards. Return to camp for dinner and rest.

Day 2 (Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, Lake Nakuru National Park)

Your day starts with an early breakfast to get ready for a guided walking safari that will allow you to explore the conservancy on foot. Being rich in a diverse species of flora and fauna, the walk gets you closer to its beauty. You will then check out and proceed to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge located in Lake Nakuru National Park which is approximately a three-hour drive. You will check in and get some rest as you have your refreshments, before having lunch. In the late afternoon, you will head to the park, known for its population of lesser and greater pink flamingos. Later on, visit the home of both black and white rhinos at Rhino Sanctuary, before heading to the Baboon Cliff for stunning park and lake views. Before dusk, return to your lodge for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 (Sarova Mara Game Camp, Masai Mara)

You will kickstart your day with a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, witnessing the rich diverse species of over 450 birds, giraffes, lions and leopards. According to your preference, you can choose to visit the Makalia Falls within the park. You will then check out and head to Sarova Mara Game Camp in  Masai Mara National Park, taking approximately five hours, and check in.  After lunch, you will embark on your first game drive in the park, which is known for its Big Five and the annual wildebeest migration. You return to your lodge for dinner around the campfire and rest.

Waking up to the chirping birds, we take an early breakfast and set off for an exploration day in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You can opt to start your day with a hot air balloon ($450 per person) then after landing enjoy a bush breakfast, or start with a peaceful game drive in the heart of Maasai Mara, where you might get the chance to sight the “Big Five” (Lions, Buffalos, Elephants, Rhinos and Leopards) and a variety of diverse species. After an experiential game drive, you will head back to the camp and enjoy an amazing meal for lunch. For the photographers and lovers of the afternoon light upon the land, you will venture out for another game drive. After a fruitful day, you will head back to Sarova Mara Camp for dinner around a campfire while enjoying Maasai cultural dances.

Day 5 (Back to Nairobi)

Kickstart your day with an early game drive, taking advantage of the morning when the animals are at their most active. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience a breathtaking sunrise over the short bushy trees that dot the landscape, witnessing the magic of the savannah. After the game drive, return to camp for a freshly served breakfast. Later on, have a chance to visit a nearby Maasai Village for -($30 per person), immersing yourselves in its unique traditions and way of life of the community. As your safari comes to a wrap, check out of your camp and begin your journey back to Nairobi, offering a last chance to soak in nature's beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, you can either be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, depending on your choice for your onward journey. Or better still, you can choose to enjoy a city tour or have an extra night in Nairobi, at an extra cost.
