Overview

This six-day safari is a journey through Kenya’s most iconic landscapes. It begins in Amboseli National Park, where you can see large herds of elephants against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. The name "Amboseli" is derived from a Maasai word meaning "salty dust," a fitting description for the park's dry plains. The tour then moves to the rhino sanctuary of Lake Nakuru and finishes in the world-famous Maasai Mara, offering a complete and classic wildlife experience.

Day 1 (Transfer to Sarova Shaba Camp, Samburu National Reserve)

On your first day in Nairobi, you will meet your friendly tour guide, who will welcome you heartily and be with you throughout your memorable safari. You will be picked up from your hotel (if you arrived a day earlier and spent the night in Nairobi) or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a six-hour drive, you will get to Sarova Shaba Camp in Samburu National Reserve and get refreshments as we check in for some rest. Your drive here will be filled with portrait-like landscapes. You will check in and relax before having lunch.

Your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve begins in the afternoon. The reserve is known for being home to the “Special Five” like the Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe and Somali Ostrich. In the far horizon when the sun sets, you will head back to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 (Full-Day Safari in Samburu National Reserve)

With a desire to experience Samburu National Reserve to its fullest, you will start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive. Throughout the game drive, you might spot some elephants, lions, different species of birds and antelopes. After a fulfilling game drive, you will get back to your camp for lunch and relaxation, followed by some leisure time. You will later have another game drive in the afternoon and get a chance to explore the reserve’s stunning wildlife. As dusk falls, you will head back to Sarova Shaba Camp for dinner in the wilderness tunes before retiring to bed.

Day 3 (Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, Lake Nakuru National Park)

You will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, which is a six-hour drive with a view of Kenya’s finest landscapes. You will arrive and check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge while we take some refreshments offered and relax. After lunch, in the late afternoon, you will embark on a thrilling game drive for the flamingo sighting, rhinos, and a diverse species of wildlife. According to your preference, you can visit Menengai Crater or other local attractions. You will return to your lodge and have dinner and rest.

Day 4 (Sarova Mara Game Camp, Masai Mara)

After having your breakfast at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, you will partake in a five-hour drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will check in at Sarova Mara Game Camp, where you will enjoy your lunch, before embarking on an afternoon game drive. During the drive, you might be able to see the majority of the animals, like the lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more. You will get back to your camp when the sun starts setting in the horizon, and enjoy dinner around the campfire before retiring to bed for the night.

Day 5 (Full-Day Safari in Masai Mara National Reserve)

You will wake up to an early breakfast and set off for an exploration day in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will begin your day with a peaceful game drive in the heart of Maasai Mara, where you might get the chance to sight the “Big Five” (Lions, Buffalos, Elephants, Rhinos and Leopards) and a variety of diverse species. After the thrilling game drive, you will get back to camp for lunch and rest. You will later have another game drive in the afternoon and get a chance to explore the reserve’s stunning wildlife. As dusk falls, you will head back to camp for dinner with an optional Maasai cultural dance or campfire.

Day 6 (Back to Nairobi)
Last day of the Safari
Our Nairobi hotel or the Airport
Kickstart your day with an early game drive, taking advantage of the morning when the animals are at their most active. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience a breathtaking sunrise over the short bushy trees that dot the landscape, witnessing the magic of the savannah. After the game drive, you will return to camp for a freshly served breakfast. As your safari comes to a wrap, you You will check out of your camp and begin your journey back to Nairobi, offering us a last chance to soak in nature's beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, you can either be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, depending on your choice for your onward journey. Or better still, you can choose to enjoy a city tour or have an extra night in Nairobi, at an extra cost.
