Day 1 (Lake Oloiden Flamingo Camp, Naivasha)

Lake Oloiden Flamingo Camp
Naivasha
On our first day in Nairobi, we meet our friendly tour guide, who welcomes us heartily and informs us that he will be with us throughout our whole safari. We will be picked up from our hotel (if we had arrived a day earlier and spent the night in Nairobi) or the airport. We will then cover a short two-hour drive from Nairobi to Lake Oloiden Flamingo Camp in Naivasha. After check-in upon arrival, we have the opportunity to have a cold refreshing drink as we take a breather from the journey. There after we take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to get a glimpse of the scenic view. We then have our lunch as we rest, then our guide allows us to choose from the exciting evening activities including; hiking in Hell’s Gate National Park, a nature walk on Crescent Island, swimming in geothermal hot springs, horseback safari and birdwatching. Dinner and overnight at our camp.

Day 2 (Enkorok Mara Camp, Masai Mara)

Enkorok Mara Camp
Masai Mara National Reserve
After we have powered up with a warm breakfast at Lake Oloiden Flamingo Camp, we head towards Maasai Mara, famous for its high concentration of wildlife and the annual Great Wildebeest Migration. After a four-hour drive, we arrive at Enkoror Mara Camp and had a hearty lunch as we rest up. For our first thrilling safari, we enjoy an evening safari, where we have exciting encounters with lions, cheetahs, rhinos, and buffaloes. The exciting part is that we can get a chance to spot the mighty “Rongai Pride”, a fierce group of 24 lions. As we enjoy the dusk magic created by the golden sunset rays, we embark you our camp for dinner and overnight.

We get our morning fix at the camp, then the day is ours to explore with exciting options like; a bush meal and sundowners amidst the wild, a cultural experience with Maasai dances, and a visit to a Maasai village, or we can opt to try out a walking safari. Kickstart our day with an early game drive, taking advantage of the morning when the animals are at their most active. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience a breathtaking sunrise over the short bushy trees that dot the landscape, witnessing the magic of the savannah. After the game drive, we return to camp for a freshly served breakfast. Later on, we have a chance to visit a nearby Maasai Village for -($30 per person) immersing ourselves in its unique traditions and way of life of the community. As our safari comes to a wrap, we check out of our camp and begin our journey back to Nairobi, offering us a last chance to soak in nature's beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, we can either be dropped off at our hotel or transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, depending on our choice for our onward journey. Or better still, we can choose to enjoy a city tour or have an extra night in Nairobi, at an extra cost.

What is unique about this plan

This is quite a magical tour that encompasses the serene landscape of Lake Naivasha and the wild, breathtaking Masai Mara. Take a boat ride in Lake Naivasha, watch hippos and many types of birds, and walk with friendly giraffes on Crescent Island. In the Masai Mara, watch the great moment, the migration of many wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles across the dangerous Mara River in the presence of various predators from July to October. Maasai villages are culturally and heritage-rich in Kenya, so if you are interested, visit them. But equally, this safari, or rather, this experience, is as unforgettable as it is affordable.
