Location

Elewana Tortilis Camp is located in the Kitirua Conservancy, on the southwestern boundary of Amboseli National Park, offering breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and close proximity to Amboseli’s rich wildlife. The camp is easily accessible both by road and air. By road, it’s approximately 250 kilometers from Nairobi, with a scenic drive that takes around 4.5 to 5 hours. For a quicker and more convenient option, guests can fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Amboseli Airstrip—a flight of about 40 minutes—followed by a 45-minute game-viewing transfer drive to the camp.

Kibo Safari Camp features 73 self-contained tents, thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and an authentic safari experience. Guests can choose from single, double, or triple tents, each offering a cozy retreat amidst the wilderness. For larger groups or families, spacious family tents provide ample room while maintaining the camp’s signature blend of rustic charm and modern convenience.

Child Policy

Children under 4 years stay free of charge when sharing a room with 1 or 2 adults.
Children under 12 years (free of charge) sharing with one adult, the adult pays single room rate
Children 12-17 years in their own room:1 child - pays single room rate

3 children - pays triple room rate

Child(ren) 12-17 years sharing with one adult, 50% of the adult sharing rate for the child, the adult pays per person sharing rate

Cancellation Policy

14 days after confirmation 20% non refundable deposit
120 days prior to arrival 50% payments due and 50% cancellation fees
60 days prior to arrival 100% payment due and 100% cancellation fees

The food was very good, service excellent. The game drives were also excellent and featured a glacier great guide named Dixon. Lots of Elephants, lions and Hippo’s.

We visited in mid May, a few days after the recent exceptional Kenyan rains, at the height of their 'low' season when there were very few of us guests, but the quality and friendliness of the staff, from the managers - Graeme and Candy - down were just perfect.

We stayed at the camp for two days and were very sad to leave. The perfect place for elephant watching. Excellent food and extremely friendly staff. We recommend it 1000 percent!!!
