Your journey begins in Nairobi, the only city in the world with a national park right on its doorstep, before heading to the Great Rift Valley. You'll explore the bird and hippo-filled waters of Lake Naivasha and see the rhino sanctuary at Lake Nakuru. The adventure concludes in the vast plains of the Maasai Mara, offering a chance to see the "Big Five."

Day 1 (Arrival and Transfer to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge)

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our journey begins as we get picked up and head to our hotel / Naivasha, according to your preference. Our two-hour drive to Lake Naivasha will be accompanied by a friendly guide to ensure our Safari is unforgettable. Refreshments are to be served to us by a welcoming staff at Lake Naivasha Sopa upon arrival. Exciting options like a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island for a guided nature walk, bike ride in Hell’s Gate National Park, or heading to Crater Lake Sanctuary will be available for us to choose from. Near dusk, we can head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 (Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge)

At the break of first light, we head to Lake Nakuru which is a two- hour drive, after a warm breakfast at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. Refreshments are served as we rest up before having our delicious meal for lunch. We can then choose to visit the Menengai Crater or take a game drive for the lesser and greater flamingos and rhinos found in Lake Nakuru National Park. Dinner and overnight at our lodge.
Day 3 (Sarova Mara Game Camp, Masai Mara)

We part-take in a five-hour drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve after having our breakfast. We check-in at Sarova Mara Game Camp, where we enjoy our lunch, before embarking for an afternoon game drive. During the drive we might be able to sight the majority of the animals, like the lions, cheetahs, elephants and more. We get back to our camp when the sun starts setting in the horizon, and enjoy dinner around the campfire before retiring to bed for the night.
Day 4 (Sarova Mara Game Camp, Masai Mara)

We wake up to an early breakfast and set off for an exploration day in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. We begin our day with a peaceful game drive in the heart of Maasai Mara, where we might get to see the “Big Five” (Lions, Buffalos, Elephants, Rhinos, and Leopards) and a variety of diverse species. After the thrilling game drive, we get back to camp for lunch and rest. We later have another game drive in the afternoon and get a chance to explore the reserve’s stunning wildlife. As dusk falls, we head back to camp for dinner with an optional maasai cultural dance or campfire.
Day 5 (Back to Nairobi)

Kickstart our day with an early game drive, taking advantage of the morning when the animals are at their most active. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience a breathtaking sunrise over the short bushy trees that dot the landscape, witnessing the magic of the savannah. After the game drive, we return to camp for a freshly served breakfast. Later on, we have a chance to visit a nearby Maasai Village for -($30 per person) immersing ourselves in its unique traditions and way of life of the community. As our safari comes to a wrap, we check out of our camp and begin our journey back to Nairobi, offering us a last chance to soak in nature's beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, we can either be dropped off at our hotel or transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, depending on our choice for our onward journey. Or better still, we can choose to enjoy a city tour or have an extra night in Nairobi, at an extra cost.

What is unique about this plan

This itinerary is unique in that it combines stunning scenery with an abundance of animals. You will depart from Nairobi and travel to Naivasha, where you will participate in a variety of enjoyable activities such as boat rides, hiking in the Hells Gate gorges, and enjoying a therapeutic geothermal hot spring while viewing the cliffs where the famous "Lion King" film was filmed. Lake Naivasha is also a paradise on its own, with birding, bikes, and horseback riding within the park.
The safari continues to Lake Nakuru, where you will observe both pink lesser flamingoes and the larger flamingoes. It is also known for its black rhinoceros.
