Overview

This 10-day safari is an extensive exploration of Kenya, covering six distinct and remarkable wildlife regions. The journey takes you from the arid north of Samburu, home to its "Special Five" rare animals like the Grevy's zebra, to the rhino sanctuary at Ol Pejeta. You will then travel south through the Great Rift Valley's lakes and the iconic Maasai Mara, finishing with spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro from Amboseli. It's a truly comprehensive look at Kenya's natural treasures.

Day 1 (Transfer to Sarova Shaba Camp, Samburu National Reserve)

On your first day in Nairobi, you will meet your friendly tour guide, who will welcome you heartily and be with you throughout your memorable safari. You will be picked up from your hotel (if you arrived a day earlier and spent the night in Nairobi) or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a six-hour drive, you will get to Sarova Shaba Camp in Samburu National Reserve and get refreshments as we check in for some rest. Your drive here will be filled with portrait-like landscapes. You will check in and relax before having lunch. Your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve begins in the afternoon. The reserve is known for being home to the “Special Five” like the Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe and Somali Ostrich. In the far horizon when the sun sets, you will head back to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 (Full-Day Safari in Samburu National Reserve)

With a desire to experience Samburu National Reserve to its fullest, you will start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive. Throughout the game drive, you might spot some elephants, lions, different species of birds and antelopes. After a fulfilling game drive, you will get back to your camp for lunch and relaxation, followed by some leisure time. You will later have another game drive in the afternoon and get a chance to explore the reserve’s stunning wildlife. As dusk falls, you will head back to Sarova Shaba Camp for dinner in the wilderness tunes before retiring to bed.

Day 3 (Sweetwaters Serena Camp, Ol Pejeta Conservancy

You will have an amazing breakfast then, in approximately three hours arrive and check in at Sweetwaters Serena Camp and enjoy a warm lunch, enjoying the mountain view of Mount Kenya, before embarking for an afternoon game drive. During the drive, you might be able to see the majority of the animals, like the lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more. After the thrill of the game drive, you will visit the enclosure of the last remaining two northern white rhinos and learn more about the global conservation efforts put in place. Later on after you have had some rest, indulge yourselves in a night game drive where you might be able to spot the nocturnal animals like the hyenas and leopards. Return to camp for dinner and rest.

Day 4 (Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, Lake Nakuru National Park)

You will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, which is a six-hour drive with a view of Kenya’s finest landscapes. You will arrive and check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge while we take some refreshments offered and relax. After lunch, in the late afternoon, you will embark on a thrilling game drive for the flamingo sighting, rhinos, and a diverse species of wildlife. You can visit Menengai Crater or other local attractions depending on your preference. You will return to your lodge and have dinner and rest.

Day 5 (Enkorok Mara Camp, Masai Mara)

After having your breakfast at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, you will partake in a five-hour drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will check in at Enkorok Mara Game Camp, where you will enjoy your lunch, before embarking on an afternoon game drive. During the drive, you might be able to see the majority of the animals, like the lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more. You will get back to your camp when the sun starts setting in the horizon, and enjoy dinner around the campfire before retiring to bed for the night.

Day 6 (Enkorok Mara Camp, Masai Mara)

You will wake up to an early breakfast and set off for an exploration day in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will begin your day with a peaceful game drive in the heart of Maasai Mara, where you might get the chance to sight the “Big Five” (Lions, Buffalos, Elephants, Rhinos and Leopards) and a variety of diverse species. After the thrilling game drive, you will get back to camp for lunch and rest. You will later have another game drive in the afternoon and get a chance to explore the reserve’s stunning wildlife. As dusk falls, you will head back to camp for dinner with an optional Maasai cultural dance or campfire.

Day 7 (Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge, Lake Naivasha)

After breakfast, you will check out of Enkorok Mara Game Camp and head to Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge. Upon arrival, a welcoming staff member will serve you refreshments. You will spend the afternoon on a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island for a guided nature walk, where you will see hippos in their natural habitat and a unique variety of bird species. You can can choose to visit Crescent Island for a guided walk. Near dusk, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 (Kibo Safari Camp, Amboseli National Park)

Your day 8 begins early as you chek out of Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge and head to Amboseli National Park. After a five-hour drive, you will get to Kibo Safari Camp in Amboseli National Park and get refreshments as you check in and enjoy the view of Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch, you will head out for your first game drive in the famous landscape of Mount Kilimanjaro and large herds of elephants. As the sun graces the landscape with its golden rays, you will head back to camp for dinner in the starry night and overnight.

Waking up to the sight of a glowing day, you will take an early breakfast and set off for an exploration day in the Amboseli National Park. You will begin your day with a peaceful game drive, where you might get the chance to sight the “Big Five” (Lions, Buffalos, Elephants, Rhinos and Leopards) and a variety of diverse species. After the thrilling game drive, you will get back to camp for lunch and rest. You will later have another game drive in the afternoon and get a chance to explore the park’s stunning wildlife. As dusk falls, you will head back to Kibo Safari Camp for dinner around a campfire

Day 10 (Back to Nairobi)

Our Nairobi hotel or the Airport
You will check out of your camp and begin your journey back to Nairobi, offering us a last chance to soak in nature's beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, you can either be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, depending on your choice for your onward journey. Or better still, you can choose to enjoy a city tour or have an extra night in Nairobi, at an extra cost.
