Location

Masai Mara Basecamp is ideally located along the Talek River, which creates a natural boundary between the camp and the Masai Mara National Reserve. This prime location offers stunning views of the Mara plains and provides easy access to some of the best wildlife viewing areas in the reserve. The camp is approximately 220 kilometers from Nairobi and can be reached by a 5-6 hour drive or a short 45-minute flight to the nearby Ol Kiombo Airstrip.

Number of Rooms / Tents / Cottages

The lodge comprises 50 traditional African-style cottages, each housing two spacious guest rooms, totaling 99 rooms. Each room features queen- or king-size beds, mosquito nets, electronic safes, dressing tables, en-suite bathrooms, and sheltered verandas with views over the gardens and the game reserve beyond.

Policies (Child Policy & Cancellation Policy)

Child Policy

Children under 3 years stay free of charge when sharing a room with adults.
Children aged 3–15 years are charged 50% of the per-person adult twin rate if sharing with 1 or 2 adults.
Children aged 3–15 years are charged 75% of the twin/double room rate if staying in their own room.
Children sharing with adult, child pays 50% of adult rate and adult pays half of the double room rate
Adult sharing with 2 children, each child pays 50% of adult rate and adult pays half of the double room rate.
Children aged 16 years and above are considered adults

Cancellation Policy

Between 60-31 days prior days prior to arrival dates will incur 15% of the quotation
Between  30 - 16 days prior to arrival date  will incur 30% of the quotation
Between 15-1 day (including NO-show) prior to arrival date will incur 100% of the quotation.
