Introduction

Severin Safari Camp is an eco-friendly luxury tented camp situated in the heart of Tsavo West National Park, Kenya. Nestled within the Kitani Wildlife Area, the camp offers guests an immersive experience in nature, combining adventure, wellness, and relaxation. Its unfenced setting allows wildlife such as elephants and giraffes to roam freely through the camp, enhancing the authentic safari atmosphere.

Location

Located in Tsavo West National Park, Severin Safari Camp is approximately 280 kilometers southeast of Nairobi. By road, it takes a 5 to 6-hour drive via the Nairobi–Mombasa highway. For those traveling by rail, the camp is a 1-hour transfer from Mtito Andei Station on the Nairobi–Mombasa Standard Gauge Railway (SGR). Charter flights also provide access, landing at either Finch Hattons or Kilaguni Airstrip, both of which are about a 30-minute drive from the camp.

Severin Safari Camp offers 27 spacious tents, each designed to provide comfort and luxury in a natural setting:

Luxury Tents: Equipped with king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, and private verandas overlooking the wilderness. Tents can accommodate up to 3 persons

Junior Suites: Featuring additional living space, a writing desk, and enhanced amenities for a luxurious stay.

Executive Suites: Offering the utmost in luxury with separate living areas, a private plunge pool, and personalized services.

Kitani Bandas: Self-catering bandas suitable for families or groups, complete with kitchen facilities and a private garden.

For families with children, it's recommended to book two tents next to each other or opt for a Junior Suite, which is suitable for 2 adults with 1 or 2 children.

Age Restriction: Children under 6 are not allowed at Severin Safari Camp.

Children aged 6–11 years:

1 child in own room: Pays 75% of the single room rate.

2 children in their own room: Each pays 75% of the double room rate.

1 or 2 children sharing with 1 adult: Each pays 75% of the double room rate.

1 or 2 children sharing with 2 adults: Each pays 50% of the double room rate.

Safety: The age restriction is primarily for safety reasons, particularly in relation to the wildlife viewing areas.

Safari bookings canceled or amended from the time of booking up to 120 days before the commencement of the safari incur a 25% cancellation charge

Cancellation or amendments received 89-60 days before commencement of the safari are subject to a fee of 20% of the total retail tour rate

Cancellation or amendment less than 59-30 days before commencement of the safari: 50% refund, 50% cancellation charge

Cancellation or amendment less than 29 days or less before the commencement of the safari: nil refund, 100% cancellation charge
